đź“… Attendance Matters!
Regular school attendance is essential to students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth. Consistent attendance helps students stay engaged, build relationships, and achieve success.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to communicate with the school if there are any concerns or needs related to attendance. We are here to support you and your child.
Under Virginia law, “truancy” is defined as a single unexcused absence. Students who accumulate more than two unexcused absences may be considered chronically truant. The Compulsory Attendance Law (§22.1-254 of the Code of Virginia) requires all children to attend school regularly.
